Since beginning dance at the age of five I believed dance would always be apart of my life. I'm from a small town outside of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and I began dancing at a local studio a few stop lights from my home. I first danced because my older sister did. That's when I realized "I could do that!" During my high school and college career at Northwestern State University of Louisiana, I honed into the craft of Theatrical Arts and graduated BFA with an emphasis on direction and choreography.
I have a performance background which has taken me from New York stages, into the world of dance competitions, dancing in film, performing overseas, and professional regional theatre and National Touring productions with several theatre companies in the U.S. Credits include choreography for The National Tour of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, choreography for over 35 shows with Prather Productions Inc. including South Pacific, Funny Girl, Show Boat, Holiday Inn, Fiddler on the Roof, Camelot, Beauty and The Beast, The Little Mermaid as well as theatre for young audiences through many Children’s theatre programs. I have served as Director and Choreographer for Manheim Township High School’s Performing Arts program located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. We produced such shows as Mary Poppins, Beauty and the Beast, and Fame with well over 75 individual students in all aspects of theatre production.
In the past I have served as an Assistant to the Director for the International Dance Challenge Dance Competition. I have served as choreographer for New Regency Films & I also spent some time as an instructor at The Chicago School of Dance & Theatre which created artistic outlets through dance and acting for kids ages 5-18. I performed with Universal Studios Theme Park in Osaka, Japan, and over the last 20 years I have served as a choreographer across the U.S. at various regional theatres in the industry.
Though I find my self more comfortable behind the artistic table, I will always love performing on stage. Some of those credits include big dance shows like A Chorus Line, Cabaret, Anything Goes, Cats, Guys and Dolls, 9 to 5, Swing! and The Will Rogers Follies.
I currently call Kenner, LA home. So, Thanks for visiting my website (a constant work in progress.) Thanks for supporting live theatre! Go ahead- look around. Enjoy!
